Wrap a flexible measuring tape snugly around your wrist where you would like your bracelet to sit. No measuring tape? Use a piece of string instead, then lay it flat against a ruler to determine your measurement.

FIT TIP

Measure the area closely and add ¼ inch for a comfortably fitted bracelet. The ¼-inch rule is our general recommendation for all jewelry. If you prefer a looser fit, add ½ inch instead.

Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your neck where you'd like the necklace to sit, depending on whether you prefer a choker or a standard length. No measuring tape? Use a piece of string instead, then lay it flat against a ruler to determine your measurement.

Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your ankle where you would like your anklet to sit (usually just above the ankle bone). No measuring tape? Use a piece of string instead, then lay it flat against a ruler to determine your measurement.

MOVEMENT TIP

Add at least 1 inch (2–2.5 cm) so you can bend your ankle back and forth comfortably without the anklet digging in.
